You Don’t Need to Be Religious to Believe in God
This Easter Monday, the Pope passed away.
After holding one final Mass on Easter Sunday, he quietly transitioned the next day — and whether or not you’re religious, there’s something undeniably powerful about that timing.
One of my sister’s messaged me saying,
"I’m not religious, but wow… that’s crazy."
And I replied
“You don’t have to be religious to believe in God, they’re not the same thing”.
Religion is one path.
But it’s not the only one.
The Pope lived a life of deep connection to his version of God — to Source, Creator, the Divine. That connection shaped every step of his journey. And now, in this time of collective awakening, his passing feels deeply symbolic.
It marks something larger than one person’s transition.
It feels like the end of an era — and the start of a new one.
We’re remembering now:
That we don’t need a middleman to speak to God.
We can choose one — a teacher, a guide, a tradition — if it resonates.
But it’s not a requirement.
Your relationship with the Divine is your own.
You hold a Divine Spark within you that is yours to cultivate however you choose in this incarnation.
It doesn’t have to look a certain way.
It doesn’t need to be performed, proven, or passed through someone else’s approval.
You are allowed to have a direct, raw, beautiful connection with God — however you understand that energy.
You don’t need the robes.
You don’t need the rituals.
You don’t need to be in a temple, a church, or a circle.
You don’t need to be "qualified."
You just need to be open.
Willing to listen.
Willing to feel.
Willing to return.
Whether you pray in a pew or whisper to the trees...
Whether you journal with your guides, speak to the stars, or just sit quietly with your own heart...
That’s holy.
That counts.
We’re in a time of remembering.
That your connection with Source was never something you had to earn.
It was always yours.
So if you’ve been feeling the call to deepen into your own understanding of the Divine - to strip away the noise, the judgment, the dogma - and come home to something true, simple, and sacred…
Know this:
💫 You are already connected.
💫 You’ve always been held.
💫 And your path is valid - however it looks.
With love and remembrance,
Cora xo
